We usually reply within a day. If something went wrong with an export, tell us roughly when you ran it and we can look it up.

The colours in my print still don't match exactly

They won't, and no tool can promise otherwise. Every printer uses different inks, paper and presses. This app converts your design through a standard coated-stock profile (ISO Coated v2 / FOGRA39) to catch colours that no press can reproduce — the ones that come back obviously wrong. It is a warning system, not a colour-matching guarantee. If exact colour matters, ask your printer for a proof.

Why doesn't it warn me about my black or grey?

On purpose. Printed black really is lighter than the black on your screen — ink on paper can't be as dark as a backlit pixel. That's true of every design ever printed and there's nothing you can do about it, so flagging it would just be noise. We only warn you about saturated colours losing their intensity, which is the problem you can actually act on.

My download link stopped working

Download links expire after 1 hour, and the file is deleted from our servers after 3 days. Just run the export again — it doesn't use another credit if you still have the design open… but if it does, email us and we'll put the credit back.

My PDF is a different size than I expected

Canva measures designs in pixels, not millimetres, so something has to decide how big those pixels print. That's the Print resolution setting. At 300 dpi a 1000-pixel-wide design prints about 85 mm wide; at 600 dpi the same design prints half that size, but with finer detail. The app tells you the finished millimetres after each export.

There's extra artwork outside the crop marks

That's the bleed, and it's meant to be there. Printers cut slightly off-centre, so artwork is extended 3 mm past the cut line to avoid a white sliver of paper along the edge. Your printer trims it off.

I paid and didn't get my exports

Email us straight away with the email address you used at checkout, and we'll fix it. This shouldn't happen, and if it does, it's our bug, not your fault.

Can I get a refund?

Exports you haven't used, yes. If you bought a pack and haven't used it — or have some left — email us within 10 days and we'll refund the unused exports. Subscriptions: cancel any time; if you cancel within 30 days of your last payment and haven't exported anything, we'll refund that payment.

Exports you've already downloaded can't be refunded — you have the file. That's why there's a free tier: 3 exports a month, free, so you can see exactly what you get before paying for anything.

And if you paid and didn't receive your exports, or the file came out unusable, that's a full refund. Our fault, not yours.
